The main goal was increasing Garza Sada 1892′s brand awareness using social media, more specifically Facebook.
The strategy was split into several different activities to create and engage an audience.
To create awareness for the brand, we ran 2 iPad give-aways on Facebook, getting 25,000 fans and over 2,000 fan photos in one week.
We also created an online contest focused on creativity where everyone could participate to win an iPad by submiting photos and answering a simple question, “Why do you like Garza Sada 1892?”. The contest was crafted to stimulate interactions, promote comments and to invite friends to participate. Facebook was our main site for the contest but Twitter and other social tools were also used.
Not everything we’ve done has been 100% digital, we’ve also created several activations that merge offline activities with online activities.
After 6 months of operation, Garza Sada 1892′s Facebook Profile has over 45,000 active fans, with more than 4 million of views.
